Questions
- Which printers does Painter3D support?
- It writes PrusaSlicer's multi-material painting, so any printer PrusaSlicer slices for with more than one tool: the Prusa XL, MK4S and CORE One with MMU3, the CORE One INDX — and whatever printer a 3MF you open already names.
- Do I need Apple Pencil?
- No. On the iPad a finger can paint too (Settings ▸ Paint with finger), and on the Mac you paint with the mouse or trackpad.
- Is the Mac version a separate purchase?
- No. One purchase on the App Store covers both the iPad and the Mac app.
- Does Painter3D upload my models?
- Never. It makes no network requests; your files are read and written on your device only. See the privacy policy.
