Painter3D is an app for iPad and Mac that paints multi-material colour onto 3D models for 3D printing. It runs entirely on your device. Painter3D does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
Your models
The 3D models you open stay on your device. They are read, painted, saved and exported locally. Painter3D never uploads your files or their contents anywhere and keeps no copy of them beyond the file you work on. When you save over a file, macOS (on the Mac) keeps earlier versions of it on your disk, as it does for any document; they never leave the Mac.
No tracking
The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, or user accounts. It does not build a profile of you and does not use cookies.
No network access
Painter3D makes no network requests: it never contacts our servers or anyone else's, and there is nothing for it to send. Help ▸ Send Feedback… (Settings on the iPad) only opens a message in your own mail app; you decide whether to send it.
Files the app can reach
Painter3D runs in Apple's App Sandbox. It can read the files you open and write the files you save or export, and nothing else. To reopen a recent file, that permission is remembered as a security bookmark on your device and is never shared. The app's own settings are stored on your device only.
This website
The website at painter3d.xfanta.com uses privacy-friendly, cookieless Vercel Analytics to count aggregate page views. It does not identify individual visitors. The feedback board at painter3d.feedback.xfanta.com is a separate service; it stores what you post there and the account you sign in with.
The App Store
Painter3D is distributed through the App Store. Purchases, downloads and any associated account information are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never see it.
